Transfer your domain to Aruba.it
Want to transfer your domain name away from GoDaddy to Aruba.it? Follow our quick and simple guide.
Also, if you transfer a .com, .net or .org domain name you can get up to 1 year free service!
- Log in to your GoDaddy account with your login details.
- In the domains section click “Manage”.
- Click the domain name you want to transfer.
- In settings, make sure the “lock” option is “Off”. If the lock is on, click Manage -> Off and save. A popup message will inform you that the update may take up to 15 minutes.
- Once the domain has been unlocked go to the “Authorization Code” section at the bottom and click “Email my code”. Check that your email address is correct as this is the only way of receiving the AuthInfo code, which you need to transfer .com domain names and any domain other than .it. You can check and change your email address in Contacts.
- If the domain you are transferring is a .it domain, you will need to get the authorization code by contacting the GoDaddy support team.
- After receiving the Authorization code, simply type in the domain name you want to transfer to Aruba in the search box above and click Transfer.
- Enter the AuthInfo code where required, change the owner if you wish and click Proceed.
- At this point you can choose to add other services, like email services or a hosting plan, useful for transferring WordPress sites. Once you have completed the above submit your order. The domain transfer will take between 24 and 48 hours.
