When the product is activated, WordPress is already installed and functioning, with a DV SSL certificate that is already active, and with all the HTTP traffic redirected to HTTPS (as search engine and modern browsers now require to guarantee the security of your connection and data transfer). You don't need to do anything else apart from start to customize WordPress to create your website.
Automatic processes regularly check to see if there are any updates for the WordPress cores, plugins and themes installed on your websites (only plugins and themes present in WordPress's official directories are included). When there is one or more update for a website, the customer will be sent a notification email and the updates will be installed at least 24 hours after this email is sent. A backup of the website will then be generated, the upgrade implemented and checks carried out to make sure there is no evidence of any problems with the website caused by the update process (in this case, we will restore from the backup generated just before the upgrade). On this platform, WordPress must always be updated to the latest available version, and the themes and plugins used must be compatible with the latest versions released by WordPress. For this reason, we recommend a whitelist of plugins in other words a list of plugins chosen by Aruba based on criteria relating to reliability and security. Support will be available for these plugins to help you resolve any problems or doubts about configuration.
With every new release of WordPress, new properties are added to improve performance, and any vulnerabilities in the open source code are fixed. It is therefore essential that you update your WordPress website to the latest version of the core, as this keeps your website totally secure and means it can use new functions and improve its performance.
